Hi, my name is Kairava, and I am an authorised Civil Celebrant based in Melbourne.
I love my job! It’s my privilege and joy to be a support at those moments in life that are extraordinary. I bring to my work as a celebrant all the skills honed over decades of working as a therapist and counsellor, teacher, writer and storyteller.
This means that I will help you to capture the essence of the story you’re telling - whether it is about your love, the person you love, or a life transition. I will walk you through all the details - the steps and any legal paperwork, offering information, guidance, inspiration, loads of resources, and a loving hand to make both the event itself, and the process, as meaningful, memorable and stress-free as you’d like it to be.
Over the last 25 years I have worked with people creatively through various forms of storytelling.
I love collecting inspiring music, poems, readings and stories, and over the many years have been called upon to bring some of that magic to my community for weddings, funerals and different artistic events. So working as an official celebrant was a natural progression.
